The NBA's past is just as illustrious as the present-day, with long lists of stars that enjoyed their fair share of dominance in their era. Naturally, it is easy to try and imagine what the stars of yesteryear would achieve in a league full of modern stars. But what if they teamed up?

Franchise stars in the modern era already have teams built to highlight them. But what if they could add a co-star from the team's past to make an absolutely lethal duo? That is the questions fans debated over, as a post on Instagram asked this question and threw out sample duos from each franchise.

The Bucks, with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Giannis Antetokounmpo, would be an absolute force of nature. Michael Jordan and DeMar DeRozan's mid-range sniping would make the league quiver in fear. The most star-studded duo is easily that of LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, with both players firmly entrenched in the highest tier of NBA GOATs.

Which Duo Would Be The Best?

There are more lethal duos than the one we already named. As fans agreed, Stephen Curry and Wilt Chamberlain would dominate two entirely different facets of the ball and be just as unstoppable as we know them to be as individuals. LeBron and Kobe might have an awkward fit, Luka Doncic and Dirk Nowitzki are all offense, and even duos like Jayson Tatum and Larry Bird could struggle.

When it comes to superstars, it is hard to meld their styles together. However, legends always find a way to make it work. Every great player that's won a title has had a great teammate alongside them. These stars would be no different, making it work even when we think it might now.
