PJ Tucker was known as a solid 3-and-D guy in the league in recent years, but with time, he has focused more on guarding dangerous rivals and not so much on making shots from the corners.

Now, he's trying to help the Philadelphia 76ers win a championship after a failed tenure on the Miami Heat. He won the 2021 NBA title with the Milwaukee Bucks, proving his value while going against incredible rivals during that playoff run.

Tucker is now seen only as a defender, but Philadelphia 76ers fans think he should be putting better numbers on the offensive end of the ball. The Sixers have good scorers in Joel Embiid and James Harden, but fans want Tucker to step up and bring more to the table.

PJ Tucker Is Tired Of The Criticism From Sixers Fans

It seems like they've been letting Tucker know their discomfort with his recent performances. The player has had enough of that and recently replied to those who are not happy with his lack of scoring.

“I get it every day!” Tucker told Ky Carlin of Sixers Wire. “Walking the streets, people be like, ‘Hey Tuck! You think you can score more and this, that, and the third,’ but for me, man, if you look, I take maybe one or two shots per game. I don’t even shoot the ball a lot. So I don’t know how they want me to score a bunch of points if I don’t get the chance to shoot the ball, but to me, it’s definitely not about that.”

He still claimed that he's coming and his level will improve eventually.

“They’ve been on me. I’ve told a couple of them, just take a look back to the playoffs last year. I’ll be back there in a second. They all laugh when I say that.”

In 40 games this season, Tucker is averaging 3.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per outing, shooting 40.3% from the field and 37.7% from beyond the arc. The Sixers now rank 4th in the Eastern Conference after a big win against the Utah Jazz, with Tucker scoring 5 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and dishing 1 assist.

Things are going well for them after a rocky start to the season. Nobody is talking about them right now and the Sixers could make some noise in the playoffs. If Tucker levels up on offense, they will be a huge threat in the East.
