The NBA has reacted to the viral Reddit post accusing the Memphis Grizzlies of benefitting Jaren Jackson Jr. with fraudulent stats. The power forward has had a terrific 2022-23 NBA season, helping the Grizzlies compete in the stacked Western Conference while showing all his qualities.

Jackson is one of the leading candidates to win the 2023 DPOY award, but recently, one NBA fan thought the big man was getting benefited from his team's scorekeeper, who was seemingly inflating his stats.

According to this Redditor, Jackson has recorded nearly twice the amount of steals and rebounds at home than he's gotten on the road, which was suspicious for this user, who didn't hesitate to share their finding with the rest of the community.

The NBA Reacts To Controversial Post Accusing The Memphis Grizzlies Of Benefitting Jaren Jackson Jr. With Fraudulent Stats

This post really stirred the pot and even the NBA had to set the record straight, making it clear that the Grizzlies didn't do anything wrong since the league is in charge of correcting these stats if needed. Tim Frank sent a clear and direct message on this, explaining how things work in the league.

"In order to ensure the integrity of our game statistics, auditors, independent of the statisticians on-site, review all plays and stats decisions in real-time during NBA games. If changes are necessary, they are made at that time or following a postgame review. All of the plays questioned in the post on Memphis games were scored consistently within the rules set forth by the NBA statisticians manual."

The NBA takes these accusations very seriously, and they work hard to clarify all these situations. This is something that was unexpected and very shocking, but the front office got to work and now it's clear that the Grizzlies didn't do anything bad. Still, after this accusation was made and shared with the world, a lot of fans will try to keep tabs on it whenever the Grizzlies play.
