LeBron James suffered another right foot injury over the weekend as his Los Angeles Lakers took on and beat the Dallas Mavericks in a thrilling match.

This news set the alarms at Crypto.com Arena, but Lakers fans have a clearer idea of when LeBron James could return to action.

"LeBron James’s right foot is expected to be reassessed in two weeks to see how much progress he’s made, but timeline on return expected to extend beyond that checkpoint. Where Lakers reside in standings by then could impact how soon it makes sense for him to return," Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Amid a terrific season for the 4x NBA champion, he's dealt with a series of injuries that have prevented the player and the rest of the team to have better results. James missed a couple of games after breaking the all-time scoring record, and just when he started playing at a high level again, another injury hit him.

LeBron is averaging 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game in 47 duels, shooting 50.1% from the field and 75.9% from the free-throw line.

Lakers Fans Are Very Sad After LeBron James Picks Up Another Injury

This news wasn't met with the best eyes by Lakers fans by any means, as they were very excited about the rest of the 2022-23 NBA season, with LeBron leading their new-look squad.

The Purple and Gold still have options to remain competitive in the NBA while LeBron is out. They could create a solid starting five with a couple of moves, but it remains to be seen if the front office is considering these options.

The Lakers are 4-1 since they traded Russell Westbrook, and even now that LeBron will be sidelined for a couple of weeks, they hope to see good things from the rest of the team. The last three seasons haven't been easy for the Lakers at all, and they have to endure a lot of bad things this campaign too.
