Patrick Beverley started the season as a Los Angeles Laker, ready to take on the NBA alongside LeBron James and Anthony Davis. But the Lakers revamped their roster and Beverley ended up on the Chicago Bulls. And while he has some revenge plans for their upcoming matchup, his former teammate has laid down the gauntlet.

"That's fine. He can try. He can come try. We'll see Sunday," Davis said after the Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in a crucial game.

The Los Angeles Lakers play the Chicago Bulls in their next two games, with the chance to go above .500. They are feeling good having broken even for their record, but Anthony Davis knows that the importance of the coming games will only go up moving forward

The Chicago Bulls have been far from elite this season, but their fortunes have changed since Beverley made it to the team. The Bulls are 9-5 in their last 14 games, having beaten teams like the Denver Nuggets, the Philadelphia 76ers, and the Miami Heat. They are also fighting to get a better spot in the play-in tournament in the Eastern Conference, which means the next two games will be far from easy for the Lakers.

Patrick Beverley Recently Revealed His Frustrations With The Los Angeles Lakers

Things didn't work out for Patrick Beverley when he was on the Lakers, so it's easy to see why he wants to beat his former team so badly. Just recently, he opened up on why things didn't work out with him during his time in LA

“Yeah, we should do this on defense," Beverley said. "‘Nah we cool, we cool… Nah we gotta rotate’… Bron what you mean we gotta rotate, you ain’t even playing… They don’t listen to me…. You gotta go through the first-year coach, the LeBron, the AD, the Russ, then it get to me. You don’t hear my sh*t the way you should hear my sh*t... Due to circumstances, whoever on the team, your voice isn't heard, what you saying doesn't echo. Because we had a nice f**king team in LA.”

Patrick Beverley felt that he didn't get the respect he should have when he was on the Lakers and now it seems he would like to make up for that. The Lakers have won 3 on the bounce though, and they will want to continue their momentum as well. The Lakers vs. Bulls games are looking like they will be incredibly fun to watch.
