The Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles, Lakers, are big rivals, and this season, Russell Westbrook will have played for both.

At the moment, the two teams are just 1 position away from one another in the standings. And that is a product of a winning run for the Lakers, while the Clippers have suffered some losses recently. Russell Westbrook has the unfortunate distinction of being pivotal to that.

Since the Los Angeles Lakers traded Russell Westbrook away, they have a 7-3 record and have finally moved into the play-in tournament spots. The team is up from the 13th seed to the 9th seed.

And the exact 4-spot jump in the standings is true for the Los Angeles Clippers. They were sitting in the 4th seed when they acquired Russ. But a 1-6 record with the guard on the roster means they are now 8th and on the cusp of falling below their fierce rivals. And as many might expect, Westbrook is catching some hilarious flak online for this coincidence.

Russell Westbrook Got Roasted For The Clippers And Lakers' Records

Los Angeles Lakers fans need no reason to troll Russell Westbrook, and the NBA community at large has gone at him in recent years as well. And naturally, after this statistic went viral on social media, some have taken the opportunity to troll Russ some more.

"Double agent Russ is in full effect," the caption of the post was the first to troll Russell Westbrook.

Another fan thought that Russell Westbrook can't help it, but his vibes are putting teams off: "Man, Russ needs to figure something out, because the vibe around him is just not good.

Some don't agree with the narrative though, with one fan saying: "Too much Russ SLANDER is crazy. The Lakers brought in 3 other players to address their needs. He was a minor issue to the Lakers' big problems they had. STOP talking down on the future HOF."

"Russ blessed the lakers Y'ALL sleep," said another fan, joking about Westbrook's departure being good for the Lakers.

But ultimately, many think the problems are a lot deeper than Westbrook: "Russ getting blamed for the clippers losing is crazy he has played good sense getting traded."

Russell Westbrook's stats for the Lakers and Clippers this season are nearly identical. He has averaged 15 points per game for both teams. And while he is averaging 8.3 assists per game for the Clippers, more than he did for the Lakers, his rebound numbers are lower. Russ is simply being Russ, and while the Lakers have improved in his absence, the Clippers are struggling to figure things out.
