Paul George made a bold claim when he put himself in his list of the best two-way players in the history of the NBA. This had fans sharing their two cents.

Speaking on his Podcast With P, the LA Clippers star put himself alongside Gary Payton (PG), Michael Jordan (SG), George (SF), Kevin Garnett (PF), and Hakeem Olajuwon (C). Needless to say, this garnered mixed reactions from fans.

One of the fans believed he wasn't better than Scottie Pippen. "I respect PG’s confidence, but there’s no way he’s a better two-way player than Scottie Pippen."

Some believed LeBron James deserved to be on the list instead of George.

While George can play some scintillating defense, he isn't a huge fan of the aspect of the play in the current NBA landscape. Speaking on his podcast, he shared his reasons behind his take.

“[Handchecking is] a foul now," he explained. It’s killing the game a little bit. Now we can’t be defenders. You can’t defend as well as we used to. You can get in the ball in pick-and-rolls like you can be aggressive, you can be physical. [But] you can’t do any of that now. The offensive player has the advantage now."

When he's not sharing his views on the sport and adding himself to the pantheon of greats, George is playing his part for the Clippers on the hardwood. The ongoing season has him averaging 23.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists as LA looks to book a playoff berth.
