Patrick Beverley Explains Why Bulls Fans Are Better Than Lakers Fans

Patrick Beverley says he doesn't get crucified for having a bad game for the Chicago Bulls like he did when he was on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Patrick Beverley started this season with the Los Angeles Lakers, something he and the team were both excited about before the year began.

Things didn't work out too well for Patrick Beverley on the Lakers, and he was involved in a 4-team trade just before the deadline that saw him join the Orlando Magic. Beverley was bought out and immediately signed for his hometown Chicago Bulls, and now he's spoken about what the difference in playing for both teams is.

“I play a bad game with Chicago, I ain't gotta look on Twitter and hear, ‘he’s a bum, get him outta here!’ Like I was hearing that sh*t in L.A.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most successful franchises in NBA history and their fans have massive expectations each season. The spotlight shines much brighter on those players thanks to that too, and Patrick Beverley was dealt his fair share of criticism earlier in the season.

He is thriving for the Chicago Bulls, the team has an 8-4 record since they acquired Beverley. He has played all 12 games and is a plus 6.6 on average over that time for his new team. The Bulls fans haven't had much reason to complain about him, but Beverley has felt the difference between playing for the two franchises already. And it seems to be consistent with the fact that he seemingly wanted to leave the Lakers.

Patrick Beverley Says He Requested A Trade From The Los Angeles Lakers

Patrick Beverley played for the Los Angeles Lakers for about 4 months, and things were not working out. The Lakers have improved since making the trade too, and many thought they decided to move on from Beverley. He claimed that he asked to leave because he didn't like the way things were going.

"To some people, it can be that Patrick Beverley got traded, but in all reality, I didn't like what was going on," said Patrick Beverley. "Let's find a better home for me. Not he ain't good enough, let's get rid of him. That s**t was my decision."

Whatever the case, the move seems to have worked out for everyone. Patrick Beverley is from Chicago, and he grew up a Bulls fan, so it's no surprise that he's having a good time playing for his hometown team. Lakers fans can be demanding but it's only because of how good the franchise has always been.
