Chicago Bulls star Patrick Beverley's mom swapping her son's jersey with a Philadelphia 76ers went viral on social media, and makes for one of the more heartwarming moments.

Lisa Beverley was all smiles and a proud mum as she exchanged the jersey with a Sixers fan on Wednesday after Chicago was blown out 116-91 at the United Center. The Philadelphia fan was happy to receive the guard's jersey. The two even posed for a picture soon after the swap. You can watch the clip below:

The move also saw some warm compliments from fans. One of them found the gesture funny but had a compliment for Lisa.

And there was a compliment for Patrick Beverley as well.

A fan wanted to know where Lisa and Pat were from.

Another supporter had some good words about Beverley's upbringing.

One called the guard his favorite player.

It wasn't a great day for the Bulls and Beverley as the latter went scoreless. He did have 5 rebounds and 2 assists to his name, and Zach LaVine's 16 points weren't enough to push Chicago across the finish line.

The win also meant the Bulls' hopes of making the playoffs suffered a dent. They did have some momentum on their side with two consecutive wins over the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Miami Heat but endured a crushing defeat against the Sixers.

Patrick Beverley Has Been Impactful For The Chicago Bulls

He may have had a forgettable outing against the Philadelphia 76ers, but Patrick Beverley has been instrumental in the Bulls beefing up their defense.

His infectious energy and locker room leadership also saw his teammate DeMar DeRozan lavish praise on the former Laker. According to Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times:

"When you’ve got a guy like Pat Beverley on the team, the intensity that he comes with, the second he came in the energy he brings, you’ve got to follow that," DeRozan explained. "He holds everybody accountable and is going to compete at a high level. When you see a teammate with that type of mentality, you’ve got to follow behind that, and I think you saw that."

At the time of writing, Beverley is averaging 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.6 assists for Chicago this season while shooting 34.6% from beyond the arc.

And as the Bulls gear up to make a playoff bid, they will look to the guard to bring his experience to the fore and help the side achieve their objective.
