The Athletic's Shams Charania provided the update about Morant dodging a serious injury that could in all probability have sidelined him for more than one game.

The guard was seen writhing in pain after he drove the basket for a shot and instead ended up landing awkwardly on his hand after running right into Anthony Davis. He had played for 30 minutes propping up 18 points and 6 rebounds but was ruled out soon after.
