Ben Simmons isn't having a good time in the NBA right now. The Australian point guard has been struggling for a while now, earning a lot of criticism from both Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets fans.

A former Nets player has offered some encouraging words to Simmons if he tries to recover his best level.

"I want you go back and find your roots. Go back and find why you love playing the game… There's Melo, Cousins at home, Dwight. There's n— at home that could be in the league. If your heart ain't in it, it is what it is."

This is a big statement from Garnett, who knows how hard the competition can be and he tries to encourage the new generation to fight those demons and see that they can do so much more on the court.

Simmons has been heavily criticized for his behavior on the court, his unavailability and his lack of aggressiveness when playing. What looked like a great addition for the Nets turned out to be a failed experiment, especially after both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant left the team.

Ben Simmons Has Been Ruled Out For The Remainder Of The Season

Now, Simmons has been shut down for the rest of the 2022-23 NBA season. The point guard looked like a shell of himself this campaign, struggling to make an impact on his team.

This situation has worried some people that don't understand what happened to Simmons. His career got into a downfall spiral and it doesn't seem like he'll be able to return to his best level.

Then again, there are still people who believe in him and like KG, want to see him playing at the best level once again. In 42 games this season, Simmons averaged 6.9 points, 6.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists per outing.
