LeBron James On His Advice To His Younger Teammates In The Playoffs: "Stay Off TV And Stay Off Social Media"

The Los Angeles Lakers came back brilliantly after being blown out in Game 2, winning Game 3 against the Golden State Warriors by 30 points. LeBron James has been committed to leading his young team through his experience.

Although LeBron James is not focused on scoring, his presence has been massive in ensuring that the Lakers get these wins. He has also tried to unlock the talents of his new, young teammates. He revealed after the Game 3 win, what advice he gave them on dealing with the ups and downs of the postseason.

"Well I think just for the young guys that hasn't been part of the postseason or not much experience in the postseason, stay off the TV and stay off social media," LeBron James said. "You win a game, everybody's the greatest player in the world. You lose a game, they're all throwing dirt on you.

"It's literally that simple. It's all about training your mind for the next challenge. What's the next challenge? This game is over with, we played well. Okay, cool. But we got another one on Monday.

"So, if you got a show to watch or if it's one of your favorite movies. Or if you like listening to music or you read books or whatever the case may be, or playing cards with the family, whatever. Stay off social media and when you watch the other playoff games, watch it on mute and play some other music in the background. That's what I do."

This is excellent advice from LeBron James, what matters more than anything right now is that the Lakers players stay locked in. If they can get a win in Game 4 and go up 4-1, they will put themselves firmly in command of the series with an excellent chance to win and reach the Western Conference Finals.

LeBron James Has Been Serious About Leading His Team Through The Playoffs

Since the postseason began, LeBron James has averaged just over 22 points and 10 rebounds a game. By his standards, these numbers are pretty average, but his focus has been on ensuring he holds this new, young roster together.

He has his ways of motivating Rui Hachimura, which he revealed after his big performance. Beyond that, he explained how being a father has equipped him for his role as well. LeBron James may not be putting up the numbers he used to in the playoffs, but this new role is working for him as well as the Lakers.
