Stephen Jackson Goes Off On Ja Morant After Another Gun Incident: "This Is Moron Move. His Parents Should Be Embarrassed."

After serving an 8-game ban two months ago, Ja Morant has once again made a mess by flashing a gun on Instagram Live.

Former NBA player Stephen Jackson defended Morant last time, but even he thinks repeating the mistake twice was a 'moron move.' Jackson ripped apart Ja, saying his parents should be embarrassed.

"I was one guy that actually went to bat for him because I’ve been a guy who was thrown a lot of money at a young age and made a mistake,” Jackson said. “... All the people like me that was taking up for him that said it was a mistake, he’s a young kid, we can’t go to bat for him this time. This was the dumbest thing he could’ve done. This is a moron move. His parents should be embarrassed.

"His friends around him that, like we said from the last incident, wasn't his friends. It's just a f****d up situation, but you got to really just put everything in his lap and let him deal with it. He got to deal with everything that comes with it because he done the same dumb thing again that he act like he went and got help."

After his first gun-flashing incident, Ja Morant revealed that he got help in a counseling program. However, Jackson was certain that Morant didn't talk to anybody and it was nothing but a publicity stunt.

Just a couple of months later, Jackson was proven correct by Ja Morant. He was one of the few people in his corner, but that's no longer the case.

No One Wants To Defend Ja Morant

Ja Morant had the support of many media members and former players when he flashed a gun for the first time. Most wrote it off as a mistake and hoped that Morant would clear his act.

But following the second incident, Ja isn't receiving any sympathy. Former NBA player Kwame Brown had a similar response to Stephen Jackson and called him the dumbest player in the NBA.

NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith initially wondered about the reasoning behind Ja's actions. But the veteran analyst recently issued a serious warning to him.

Elsewhere, the consensus in the NBA community is that Ja should receive a lengthy suspension. It should be for at least half a season. Of course, he would be suspended without pay to truly be punished for his reckless actions.

All things considered, Ja has dug a deep hole this time around, and the only way for him to climb out of it is to truly bring a change in his behavior.
