Chris Paul Admits He 'Absolutely' Wants Draymond Green Back With Warriors

After the Golden State Warriors traded for Chris Paul last week, many questions surfaced about the immediate future of the team. Seeing them getting rid of Jordan Poole was shocking for a lot of fans, but the NBA is a business and the Dubs are well aware of that.

The fit with Stephen Curry will be a mystery for Paul until the season starts. The relationship with the rest of the team will be complex too, especially if Draymond Green returns to the team. Talking about playing with the big man, Chris Paul admitted he's looking forward to it and wants Green to return to the team.

Paul simply said he 'absolutely' wants Green back on the team when asked by TMZ Sports at Fanatics’ “Merch Madness” event.

When this move was announced, many people showed their doubts about Paul doing well on the Warriors and making them better than they were last year. Others believed this was a move to try to bring Green back, as he had beef with Jordan Poole during the 2022-23 NBA season.

Paul isn't a big favorite among players either, and the Warriors showed that in 2019 when they beat the Houston Rockets in the playoffs.

Draymond Green Admitted He Didn't Like Chris Paul In 2020

This is a great way to start his tenure with the Warriors, as Paul has rubbed some players the wrong way during his career. Green has been one of them, and the big man even admitted that he had no relationship with CP3 back in 2020

It seems like this offseason will be a rebuilding one for the Warriors, who were inconsistent last year and want to make another championship run with Paul on the roster. It won't be easy, but if there's a team that defies and beats the odds, that's the Warriors.

Time will tell if this trade was the best decision, but right now there are a lot of doubts about this fit.
