Joakim Noah Selects His All-Time Chicago Bulls Starting Five
- Joakim Noah chose what he believes would be the all-time Chicago Bulls' starting five
- He selected the likes of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, but there were some surprising omissions
- Joakim Noah did not pick himself to be a part of the team
The Chicago Bulls are a legendary franchise, but a lot of their success came in the 1990s. Joakim Noah is one of their best players in the modern era, and he recently selected his all-time starting five from players who have played for the franchise.
"My all-time Bulls starting five, we'll start with at the point guard position, we're gonna start with Derrick Rose," Noah said.
"At the two guard, we're gonna go with Michael Jordan. At the three, we're gonna go with the legendary Scottie Pippen.
"At the four, we're gonna go with my brother from South Sudan, Luol Deng. And at the five, we're gonna go with the big Aussie, Luc Longley. Think he'll fit in well."
A lot of Joakim Noah's list makes sense. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen are no-brainers, they are the two greatest players in the history of the Chicago Bulls. Derrick Rose, the youngest MVP of all time, is also a fair pick at point guard.
Interestingly, Joakim Noah didn't select himself to be the center. He was an All-Star twice, made an All-NBA First Team, and a Defensive Player Of The Year. While Luc Longley won three NBA championships, he was never that good defensively.
There is one pick Noah made though, that many would consider controversial.
Joakim Noah Didn't Select Dennis Rodman In His All-Time Starting Five
In any all-time starting five involving the Chicago Bulls, Dennis Rodman should be nothing short of an automatic pick. The Worm helped the franchise win three championships and is one of the greatest to ever play the game.
Dennis Rodman was included as a forward in Fadeaway World's all-time Bulls' starting five. And it makes sense, considering that he was a superstar for their second three-peat and a starter on arguably the greatest NBA team ever, the 1996 Bulls.
Luol Deng may have gotten a pick because he was Noah's teammate, but Dennis Rodman was objectively a better player than him. Joakim Noah got a lot right in his answer, but that does seem like a big miss.
