NBA fans have made fun of LeBron James for years for being too involved in personnel decisions with the franchises he is a part of. And now NBA legend John Stockton has given his two cents on the matter as well. 

“I don’t know what it’s like to sit in that front office and have things dictating to you like a plan, and it appears LeBron is," Stockton said on the DNP-CD podcast. 

"I don’t know for sure that he is, but it’d be maddening as a teammate to know that you can be expendable for one of his guys that he thinks he needs to play with. The iffiness it causes with the team, the iffiness that it causes upstairs."

LeBron James orchestrated the building of the Heatles in Miami when he was making his free agency decision in 2010. He was also involved in building the team quite a bit during his second stint in Cleveland, as Kyrie Irving has admitted in the past. 

During his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, the failed Russell Westbrook experiment also led to fans pointing the finger at LeBron James. 

His desire to get Anthony Davis also led to the Lakers trading their young core, with all of these things contributing to the narrative.

John Stockton is right to suggest that LeBron James' involvement can be tough for players, but it is difficult to argue with the results. The likes of Dwight Howard can joke about 'LeGM' as much as they want, but LeBron James has always delivered.
