Giannis Antetokounmpo Hilariously Asks For His 51-Year-Old Trainer Vin Baker To Get A 10-Day Contract After Dunk

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo has been training with 51-year-old Vin Baker
  • Baker dunked the ball during one of their training sessions
  • Antetokounmpo hilariously called for him to get a 10-day NBA contract on social media

Giannis Antetokounmpo's Milwaukee Bucks future has been a topic of massive discussion lately. But he seems to be ignoring the noise after his comments, and training hard ahead of the new season.

Former 4-time NBA All-Star Vin Baker has been an assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks since 2018. And recently, while training with Giannis, the 51-year-old threw down a dunk. The Greek Freak was so impressed, he had a hilarious reaction on social media.

"Give my guy Vin a 10-day, old man still got it!!" Giannis Antetokounmpo wrote in a caption on social media.

Giannis Antetokounmpo joined the Milwaukee Bucks as a project player in 2013. He has grown from averaging 6.8 points, and 4.4 rebounds per game in his rookie season to averaging 31.1 points and 11.8 rebounds per game last season.

A large part of his development has been the elite coaching staff the Milwaukee Bucks have put around him. Antetokounmpo has improved massively working with the likes of Jason Kidd, Darvin Ham, and Vin Baker. In the conversation about his potential departure, these relationships have been overlooked a little.

Vin Baker Was An Excellent Player During His NBA Career

Vin Baker was drafted No. 8 overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1993 NBA Draft. He played in the NBA for 13 years, and has since moved into coaching with the team that drafted him.

Vin Baker was an excellent player during the 1990s, he was an All-Star in four of his first five seasons in the league with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Seattle Supersonics.

Baker also had an All-NBA Second Team and one All-NBA Third Team selection to his name in his career. In his best four years in the league, Baker averaged 19.7 points, 9.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

Those are elite numbers and while he isn't remembered as a legend of the game, four All-Star selections are a lot more than some of the league's best players can claim. While the 10-day contract is a joke, many teams across the league today would surely love to have a big man of Baker's quality on their rosters.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Has Been Taking His Training Very Seriously

The Milwaukee Bucks were the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference last season but failed to advance past the first round of the playoffs, being humiliated by the Miami Heat.

Giannis Antetokounmpo wants to win more than anything else in the world, and he has been training with Hakeem Olajuwon to improve his game. The Greek Freak spoke about his desire to train and become the best once again.

"I try to stay on my side, stay on my court, do my own thing in the offseason because I'll compete against them... I am going to go down to Houston and work with Hakeem Olajuwon.

"There's a few people I have worked with, KG, Kobe, and now Hakeem will be the third guy. I love his game, and if I can take some things, anything from the few days I'll spend with him."

Giannis Antetokounmpo is a 2-time MVP, DPOY, and Finals MVP and he is still very much in his prime. He has a big season coming up and the Milwaukee Bucks will hope they can win another championship with him.
