Leaked Video Shows Kawhi Leonard Frustrated With Ivica Zubac, Russell Westbrook Was Upset When Benched

A leaked video from the Clippers' recent loss to the Grizzlies shows how a bunch of team concerns peaked in the fourth quarter and left various players upset. This includes Kawhi Leonard getting upset with Ivica Zubac for not going into the paint when needed and Russell Westbrook getting benched for James Harden.

Kawhi Leonard: “You’re just standing… Get down there!”

Right after, you can see Kawhi avoid going to the timeout and be part of the team huddle. As Russ is being subbed out for Harden, he can be seen saying “damn” in frustration, looking upset o the bench even when Harden hit a big shot (or missed a big shot).

Losing to the Grizzlies was embarrassing for the Clippers, who are still looking for their first win since acquiring James Harden. They go up against the reigning champions Nuggets tonight, so avoiding a 0-5 record with Harden will be tough.

This group was put together to compete for a title, so they should be competitive with a team like Denver, but we know the truth right now. They simply haven't figured out what they need.

Paul George Reacted To Kawhi And Zubac Arguing On The Bench

The situation between Leonard and Zubac that transpired on the court didn't go unnoticed. Naturally, fans and their cameras caught the action in full detail, which led to media members asking Paul George about what happened. He responded by calling the incident healthy for the team and didn't reveal many details.

“That goes with anything, that’s nothing to look into... We should be frustrated. We’re not winning games and we’re trying to figure out, and at times — we’re all brothers in this locker room, and at times a message has to be delivered and we got to figure out how to get over the hump. So, that’s all it is. That’s healthy. That incident is healthy for us. I wouldn’t look too much into that.”

Kawhi was also asked for his thoughts, but he directly refused to divulge details of what happened. Teammates will argue a lot throughout a season, even when the team is perfect and winning a lot of games. Arguments are unavoidable. The only important thing is that Kawhi and Zubac move forward and clean up their on-court play as the season progresses.

Clippers Headed For A Disastrous Regular Season?

With their poor start to life as a Big Four, many are doubting the Clippers' ability to be a proficient regular season team. This is primarily due to the style of play fitting the slower playoffs better, with former guard Patrick Beverley openly discussing the likelihood of the team being 'awful' in the regular season.

"They're going to be an awful regular season team, they going to be a dangerous playoff team because the playoffs are all about matchups. When it comes to the regular season, they'll be God-awful. There'll be one person who's always left out. There isn't much camaraderie. They ain't spent a lot of time with each other."

We can believe in them to be a better playoff team, but the West is so competitive that they could be at risk of not even making the playoffs if they continue to be awful in the regular season.
