Charles Barkley Roasts Inside The NBA Staff For Misspelling Jonathan Kuminga's Name: "We Hire Fools Around Here"

TNT's staff for Inside the NBA made quite a hilarious mistake during the broadcast on Tuesday night. When the box score for the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies was put on the screen, Jonathan Kuminga's name was misspelled as Cuminga. Charles Barkley was the first to spot the mistake and roasted the staff.  

"That's not how you spell Kuminga fools upstairs," Barkley said. "... You damn dummy. We hire fools around here."

Even Ernie Johnson couldn't help but laugh at that. Whoever made that mistake would have been left red-faced, and I don't think Barkley or Shaquille O'Neal will let them live it down.

Jonathan Kuminga Continues To Impress

The Warriors were heavy favorites for the game against the Grizzlies, as the likes of Ja Morant, Desmond Bane, and Marcus Smart were all out. What should have been an easy win turned into an embarrassing loss, however, as Memphis shockingly won 116-107.

Kuminga, though, was one of the few bright spots for Golden State. He played 29 minutes off the bench and finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds while going 9-18 from the field. It was the second double-double of the season for the 21-year-old, who has now also hit the 20-point mark in each of his last three games.

With a slightly bigger role, he is showing what he is capable of. Klay Thompson had backed Kuminga to become a star one day, and he is flashing that potential right now. Ultimately, though, he might have to leave the Warriors to fulfill that potential.

Golden State has been a title contender during his time there and while Kuminga has a ring thanks to it, he hasn't gotten a lot of time on the court. That's the most important thing for any young player, and he was understandably getting frustrated over it.

It was reported that Kuminga had lost faith in Steve Kerr, as he didn't believe his head coach would allow him to reach his full potential. He has been getting some decent minutes after that report came out, but it still doesn't seem as if Kerr fully trusts him. I think a trade to a team that would commit to his development would greatly help Kuminga.

Paul George Believes Pascal Siakam For Jonathan Kuminga Would Be A Win-Win Trade

The Warriors have struggled mightily this season and currently sport an 18-22 record. A move of some sort seems inevitable and Paul George thinks a Kuminga-Pascal Siakam trade would be a win-win.

"I saw them put in Pascal and Kuminga in a trade. I sat and thought about it and was like, that's a win for both sides. Obviously, Golden State would have to add more just for contracts meeting up, He (Siakam) can be a No. 1 option, but I don't think that's where he's the best at, him being the second or third option is where he can shine because he can do everything. I think it works perfectly playing with Steph and Klay... Kuminga coming into his own, Toronto is kinda in a rebuild but trying to get better and win now... You add another young guy like Kuminga, that'll be a fun team for years to come."

While it may seem like a win-win to George, the Warriors are reportedly unwilling to include Kuminga as part of the Siakam trade. It's hard to see how they acquire the Raptors star without parting with Kuminga, though.
