LeBron James Calls Zlatan Ibrahimovic A Hypocrite: “I Believe In 2018 He Was The Same Guy Who Said When He Was Bad In Sweden, He Was Talking About The Same Things, Because His Last Name Wasn’t A Certain Last Name, He Felt Like There Was Racism Going On When He Was Out On The Pitch.”
LeBron James has fired back at Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic for his remarks about athletes and how they should stick to sports and not talk about political matters. He specifically talked about the King, something that didn’t sit well with a lot of people around the league.
The NBA community came in LeBron’s defense, including his friend and former teammate Richard Jefferson, who dropped a couple of names of famous athletes that raised their voices against injustices to remind Ibra why their opinion matters. Moreover, the King had the chance to address these comments after the Lakers ended a five-game losing streak by beating the Portland Trail Blazers, 102-93, making it clear that he’d never shut up when he sees that things are wrong.
“At the end of the day, I would never shut up about things that are wrong. I preach about my people and I preach about inequality, social injustice, racism, systematic voter suppression, things that go on in our community because I was part of my community at one point and seeing things that are going on,” James said. “I know what’s going on still because I have a group of 300-plus kids at my school that are going through the same thing and they need a voice.
“I’m their voice. I use my platform to continue to shed light on everything that may be going on not only in my community but around this country and around the world. There’s no way I would ever just stick to sports because I understand this platform and how powerful my voice is. You can just ask Renee Montgomery if I would’ve shut up and just dribbled, seeing that beautiful black woman today be a part of a group where she’s part of an ownership group with the Atlanta Dream down in Atlanta.”
This is why LeBron is the face of the league. “I speak from a very educated mind.” pic.twitter.com/1c4weUbhCN

Moreover, he called out Ibrahimovic, calling him a hypocrite for saying those words now when he was fighting racism in Sweden in 2018.
“It’s funny he said that, because I believe in 2018 he was the same guy who said when he was bad in Sweden, he was talking about the same things, because his last name wasn’t a certain last name, he felt like there was racism going on when he was out on the pitch.”
LeBron is not somebody that enters feud with other stars but this time Ibra crossed the line. This was another example of the infamous ‘shut up and dribble’ and James wasn’t having any of that. He’s very outspoken and whenever somebody attacks him or his fight on social matters, he will be ready to fire back and Ibrahimovic just learned that.
The Lakers beat one of the best teams in the West this season to end their bad streak and now will try to keep this pace as they face the dangerous Warriors in San Francisco. Things haven’t looked that good for the purple and gold recently but James is ready to fire back at his opponents and those who dare to criticize him for speaking against injustices.
