LeBron James Wants To Retire As All-Star Team Captain: “I Hope That They Allow Me To Retire From Being An All-Star Captain, So I Can Retire With A Perfect 4-0 Record. I’ll Keep That Forever.”
Ever since the NBA changed the way All-Star teams are assembled, LeBron James has dominated the game. He beat Stephen Curry in the first edition of the game before doing the same against Giannis Antetokounmpo the next two years. In the first matchup against Kevin Durant in the All-Star Game, his Team LeBron routed Team Durant with a 170-150 victory last Sunday.
He’s now 4-0 in the big game and he hopes to retire with that unbeaten record. Recently, he talked about his good performance as a GM and revealed he would like to retire as an All-Star captain so he can keep his unbeaten record forever. LeBron is still playing great and it wouldn’t be crazy if we see him getting the most votes for the next couple of seasons, but he wants to step down as captain.
“I hope that they allow me to retire from being an All-Star captain so I can retire with a perfect 4-0 record,” James said following Sunday’s 170-150 victory. “I keep that forever, but we’ll see what happens.”

He has been mocked and criticized for fans believing he’s always making moves in the shadows to get players traded. Well, LeGM does a great job and his selections for the ASG are the best sample of that.
“I always try to pick the right team,” James continued. “I’ve been lucky enough for four years to pick the right team. Guys go out and compete and play to win, and I’ve been on the winning side of all four.”
Even though fans criticized him for those rumors, LeBron is praised by others as a great executive. Damian Lillard also talked about his talents as a GM, saying that LeBron always finds a way to make things work.
“Yeah, I think he’s got a future as a GM because he always gets it right,” Lillard said.
Well, it’s unclear if the league will allow LeBron to give in his captaincy in future editions of the ASG or if the King would have to try to extend his good streak in the big game. So far it’s been good and it seems like nobody is ready to beat him.
