With the New York Knicks staring down a 1-3 hole, tempers flared towards the end of Game 4, as players were clearly frustrated with the outcome of the series.

But now that the series is headed back to New York, Hawks star Trae Young responded to all the noise, suggesting he was ready to put the finishing blow to his opponent on Wednesday.

“I’m just trying to keep it to basketball,” Young said after the game (via CBS Sports). “I don’t care if they’re in their feelings or who’s mad or who’s not. It’s basketball at the end of the day and we’re just trying to win. All of the extra stuff, it is what it is. We’re locked in. We’re focused on us and trying to win a game.”

Coming into the series, it was the Hawks who were seen as underdogs. A young team with much to be desired defensively, they had a tough task on their hands to stop a Knicks squad in the middle of a Cinderella season.

Nevertheless, the Hawks have stepped up, led by the talents of Trae Young, and they deserve credit for what they've been able to do.

Going forward, it will be interesting to see how the series plays out, and if the Hawks can close it out in 5.
