We all know Anthony Davis is one of the most talented players in NBA history. That’s not up for debate, nor is his impact on both ends of the floor for the Los Angeles Lakers.

That’s why it’s such a shame to see him get hurt at any time, especially in the playoffs and vs. such a tough rival as the Phoenix Suns. Now, they’re facing elimination and need to find a way to beat them at home without their leading scorer and one of their best player.

And. According to Charles Barkley, there’s just no way that they’re going to pull it off without Anthony Davis, making fun of him for his constant injuries and calling him Anthony ‘Street Clothes’ Davis.

"Lakers can’t win this series without ‘Street Clothes’. I call him Anthony 'Street Clothes' Davis because he's always in street clothes,” Barkley jokingly said on NBA on TNT.

It’s not a secret that Anthony Davis has been quite injury-prone throughout his entire career, and that’s perhaps the only thing holding him back from becoming the best player on the planet.

The Lakers’ interior defense takes a massive hit without Davis’ shot-blocking and versatility, and so does their offense, who tends to focus entirely on LeBron James and can become stagnant from time to time.

Davis is unlikely to be able to play in Game 6 and the Lakers are coming off their worst loss of the season. The Suns are confident in their ability to close the series out on the road, and the Lakers must be near-perfect to spoil that dream.

It’s always sad to see the best players get hurt, especially in the playoffs. Regardless of who you root for, the game is always better when the stars are at full strength.
