Draymond Green Reportedly Had A Big Role In The Warriors Drafting Jonathan Kuminga And Moses Moody

The Golden State Warriors are a players' organization. They prioritize the player and that's why everyone who's been there only has nice things to say about Bob Myers and his staff.

Draymond Green has clearly earned his stripes within the organization, He's been there for nearly a decade, and it's fair to say that he has some leverage with the front office.

Last night that was in full display, as he reportedly texted Bob Myers to draft both Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody with the 7th and 14th picks, respectively:

"Draymond Green texted Bob Myers after the third or fourth pick with, "Kuminga." Then, after the ninth pick, Green texted Myers: "Moody." After the Warriors made both of those picks, Green texted a thumbs-up emoji," tweeted Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.

That doesn't mean that Myers drafted those players just because Green told him so, but it's nice to see that everybody within the organization was on the same page.

The Warriors were expected to trade both picks and maybe even Andrew Wiggins and/or James Wiseman to land an All-Star player to win now. Thus far, it seems like that's not the case.

Both Kuminga and Moody look like great fits for the team but they're both raw at this point in their development. Then again, the Warriors have been great at making the most of their draft picks in the past.

Let's not forget that their championship core of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green came all via draft - as well as Harrison Barnes -, so adding two more lottery picks next to Wiseman looks like a solid foundation for their future.

As for Green, you bet he's going to be pretty harsh on them from the getgo, so they better get ready for what's to come.
