Kyle Kuzma is a player who showed some potential as a versatile forward during the 2018-19 season, averaging 18.7 PPG and 5.5 RPG. He could score and rebound well. While he took a lesser offensive role when Anthony Davis joined the team, his defense improved as he got more experience in the playoffs. It seems that as though if Kyle Kuzma could be a fairly good player if he was able to rediscover his scoring ability while maintaining his improved defense.

Generally, a player can't play to their full potential if they're not given the opportunity. An article by Bleacher Report's Tyler Conway relayed some of Kuzma's words on his role. Kyle Kuzma seems to believe that he could thrive in a more consistent role with the Los Angeles Lakers.

"My biggest thing is I just want to play within a consistent role. If I have that ability, I'll be able to showcase what I can really do. There were parts of this year—and even anywhere else in my career—when I'm in a consistent space, I'm out there handling the ball, making teammates better, scoring, shooting, defending, rebounding. I think if I'm in that space, I'll be good."

There's no doubt that Kyle Kuzma could potentially get a bigger role with the Los Angeles Lakers, as many of the team's offensive players bar LeBron James and Anthony Davis will be hitting free agency. Hopefully, Kyle Kuzma is able to get back on track and help the Los Angeles Lakers with an improved version of his all-around game in a better role.
