Ben Simmons has been criticized a lot following the Philadelphia 76ers' loss in the Eastern Conference second round to the Atlanta Hawks. There has been no shortage of people suggesting that he should be traded, as many believe that the Ben Simmons - Joel Embiid duo cannot go far in the playoffs.

There is the possibility that if Ben Simmons were put into a different environment, he would be able to help a contender with his skills in the postseason. Stephen A. Smith has recently suggested that if the Golden State Warriors were to trade for Simmons, it would result in a championship. (0:28)

The best move is to get Klay Thompson healthy. You got Klay Thompson back, with a healthy Steph Curry healthy, a Klay Thompson? That’s the best shooting backcourt in the history of basketball. As far as I’m concerned, at least the trip to the conference finals is damn near automatic

By the way, Wiseman is going to be good. Keep Draymond and I’ll tell you if you can get rid of Wiggins give up a couple of picks and go out there and trade that to Philadelphia for Ben Simmons. Put Ben Simmons in Golden State with Klay and Steph, and watch what the hell happens.

It would be special. They’d win the chip next year as far as I’m concerned.

Stephen A. Smith's suggestion is certainly intriguing. Ben Simmons' playmaking would be interesting when combined with the shooting of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, and he could potentially learn from Draymond Green. While the Warriors would have to lose Andrew Wiggins in the trade, getting an All-Star like Ben Simmons could be intriguing for the team if they wanted to make a win-now move with flexibility in the future. It remains to be seen whether the Golden State Warriors will make a move for Simmons, but it seems like a good possibility.
