After finishing a terrific tournament in the 2021 Summer Olympics, winning the gold medal with France, Evan Fournier is ready to face a new challenge in the NBA with the New York Knicks.

Following a surprising 2020/21 season, the Knickerbockers got better this offseason, adding interesting pieces like Fournier and All-Star point guard Kemba Walker. The New Yorkers want to improve last season’s performances and these players will play a key role in that goal.

The Frenchman couldn’t hide his excitement while talking to the press on Tuesday. Fournier looks very happy to be in New York, even revealing he always wanted to be part of this franchise.

"You probably don't know, and I've been saying for years that I've always wanted to play for the Knicks.”

After playing with the Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics last season, Fournier has found a new home in New York this offseason. He will try to prove his value in the league again after a struggling tenure with the Celtics.

If he keeps playing as he did in the Olympics, the Knicks will have a bigger chance to compete in the East. Tom Thibodeau is ready to take this team past the first round of the postseason and every player on the roster is locked to make this happen.

Following a 4th seed in the East last season, the Knicks are ready to climb more positions and make a statement as one of the top squads in the conference.
