LaMelo Ball finished a strong rookie season where he took home the Rookie of the Year award, beating Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton. The Charlotte Hornets standout has been great for his team, earning a lot of praise during his first year as a pro.

Melo always boasted huge confidence in himself and recently revealed he knew he would make it to the association. His father, LaVar Ball, always pushed him and his brother Lonzo and LiAngelo to look for excellence and become NBA stars.

Lonzo and LaMelo are getting good comments around the league, while LiAngelo is doing things the right way to earn a spot on the Charlotte Hornets 2021/22 roster. These three had a dream, and they’re all about to be NBA players. Talking with Tyler Tynes of GQ, Melo explained his mindset, explaining he was ready to enter the league since he was a young kid.

“My whole life, I always knew I was going to the NBA,” he says. “I always knew. Everything about this felt normal to me. I knew I’d have stardom. I grew up into it. I already had my life planned out. My whole life, I thought I was the star…. I ain’t even gonna say I’m a rock star. It’s something other than that. I’m something rare.”

The youngest Ball brother is ready to continue his good time in the league. The Hornets found a gem in this man, and he’s not planning to stop anytime soon. The franchise's future looks bright, and as long as they have this man on board, they will have a chance to compete.

After years of struggles, the Hornets are getting better, with Melo ready to show the way.
