The Los Angeles Lakers have gotten a lot of free agents that have been former All-Stars during this offseason, such as Dwight Howard and Carmelo Anthony. It seems as though another former All-Star could join the Lakers' ranks to try and help the team win another championship. The Lakers are clearly trying to get a lot of solid veterans on their team.

Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report has stated that the Los Angeles Lakers could be a potential suitor for DeAndre Jordan if he manages to get a buyout from the Brooklyn Nets. While the Los Angeles Lakers do already have Dwight Howard for the backup center position, more depth wouldn't hurt the team whatsoever.

Even though DeAndre Jordan is no longer in his prime, he can still bring beneficial skills to the Los Angeles Lakers. Jordan is a capable rebounder and lob finisher, and he can provide some rim protection as well. DeAndre Jordan could definitely be productive in limited minutes. This season, he averaged 7.5 PPG and 7.5 RPG while shooting 76.3% from the field while playing 21.9 minutes a game. Jordan thrived with Harden's playmaking getting him easy shots at the rim, and that bodes well for what he could do with the playmakers on the Los Angeles Lakers' roster.

The Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers are widely viewed as two favorites for the title. Both teams have multiple superstars, good role players, and high expectations. A Finals matchup between the two would be one for the ages. It definitely seems as though there is potential for DeAndre Jordan to switch from one side to the other. If he signs with the Los Angeles Lakers, Nets fans would certainly feel a certain way about that, and it remains to be seen if this scenario will actually happen.
