The NBA gathers the best basketball players in the world. Fans can see the best ballers on earth on a nightly basis. Players who can do impossible plays over rivals, gifted talents that are quick despite their height, and more.
This league arguably presents the best athletes in the world of sports, making it so hard to enter the association, let alone become a superstar. Still, several players try to get one of those spots every year and prove their value.
Sometimes, we find freak athletes that shock fans. In the past couple of seasons, fans became big fans of Tacko Fall and Bol Bol. These two incredibly tall players became fan-favorite as soon as they made it to the association.
Earlier this week, we discovered a new specimen trying to get a shot at the G-League. In the past, we've seen players work their butts off to make it to the association, even going through the G-League to do so.
Well, 7'6" center Mamadou N'Diaye is trying to emulate those players. The Senegalese center tried out for the Lakeland Magic, the Orlando Magic's G-League franchise.
A recent video of his workout made waves around social media, showing the player's skills and domination against shorter rivals.
N'Diaye played for three years with UC Irvine, going undrafted in 2016. The player had little participation with the Golden State Warriors in the 2016 Summer League. He then joined the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League (the G-League affiliate team of the Detroit Pistons) but was waived in November 2016.
He continued his professional career in Mexico and is now trying to find a chance with the Lakeland Magic. N'Diaye showed some interesting things, but it remains to be seen if he gets the call.
At age 28, he looks very fast for a player his height, but it'll be hard to see him making it all the way through the NBA.
