Rich Paul is well known for being part of the Klutch Sports organization and being the agent for some prominent stars in the industry, including LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Ben Simmons. Rich Paul is generally viewed positively among NBA circles.

More recently, Nerlens Noel has filed a lawsuit against Rich Paul and has claimed that he is responsible for around $58M of lost earnings. That has led to some scrutiny of Rich Paul, and many people have already weighed in with their opinion on the high-profile agent. 

The most recent person to criticize Rich Paul was Charles Barkley, who is known for speaking his mind no matter what. Barkley referred to how Anthony Davis' exit was handled in New Orleans and mentioned how there was a threat of him not playing anywhere but the Los Angeles Lakers. He then expressed a desire for the Sixers organization to refuse to trade Ben Simmons for bad value. (3:06)

You know how that group works. They try to trade their players to where they want to. Anthony Davis, they had better deals from Boston, and maybe even New York.

They're like 'No, He's gonna play with LeBron or he's not gonna play.' They just bullied the league. A team got to stand up & say, 'I paid your guy. You can't bully me to trade him & me take some trash back.' I'm hoping somebody in the Sixers organization got some stones.

While the New Orleans Pelicans did get a good haul for Anthony Davis, the way his exit was conducted was perceived by some as strong-arming the Pelicans into trading him to the Lakers. That situation could happen once again with Ben Simmons, who has stated he wants to play for one of 3 California teams. It remains to be seen where the 76ers will trade Simmons, and hopefully, they can get a solid return for the disgruntled All-Star.
