The Golden State Warriors have all the tools they need to succeed in the West this season.

With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, they have a star-studded core capable of competing with the best of the best. With Steve Kerr, they have an experienced coach who can inspire his guys.

Unfortunately, there are some concerns as the franchise prepares for the upcoming season.

Mostly, they revolve around Andrew Wiggins, whose stance against the vaccine could jeopardize his availability to start the season.

There’s increasing concern among the Warriors about the early season availability of starting small forward Andrew Wiggins, who has declined to get vaccinated against the coronavirus, according to NBA sources.

The NBA is not requiring its players to be vaccinated, but if a local jurisdiction requires vaccination to enter an arena, then an unvaccinated player must get a religious or medical exemption from the league to play on his home court.

Obviously, the COVID-19 vaccines remain a hot-button topic today. In spite of all the death it has caused, worldwide, some are reluctant to trust the safety and health of the vaccine itself.

On the other side, there are some who are pushing for more restrictions on the unvaccinated, with the claim that it will help keep people safe until COVID runs its course.

Either way, it's an issue that is seeping into the NBA as well.

Next season, the vaccine policy of different cities and arenas will vary, and players who chose not to get the shot could find themselves at a disadvantage.

The Warriors have more than enough to survive if Wiggins misses a few games this upcoming season, but his presence as a scorer will provide a major boost to the organization, especially as Klay Thompson looks to get back on his feet.
