Shannon Sharpe Says Playing With Russell Westbrook Is The Most Difficult Task Of LeBron James' Life: "Harder Than Building Up The Courage To Ask Savannah To Go On A Date."

If there's one thing we've learned about the Lakers this season, it's that it's going to take some time before the team gets their act together.

What we've seen from them so far has been a disorganized mess, with questionable rotations, poor chemistry, and a collection of stars that do not seem to fit well together.

Mostly, it's the on-court mesh of LeBron and his newest teammate, Russell Westbrook, that has people questioning just how far this Lakers team can get this year.

Not only can Westbrook be volatile and out of control at times, his playstyle as a ball-handling playmaker and slasher directly conflict with LeBron's role as the dictator of the offense.

It's going to be hard, very hard, for LeBron and the Lakers to figure out how to make things work. On Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe went so far as to say it will be the most daunting task of LBJ's life.

"LeBron James has his work cut out for him. This will be LeBron James' most daunting task that he's undertaken in his entire life. More difficult than building the LeBron brand. More difficult than building SpringHill as a production company -- nothing that LeBron has ever done in his life, even building up the courage to go ask Savanah 'will you go out on a date with me.' This is his most difficult task."

Obviously, Shannon was being a bit hyperbolic, but it doesn't mean he's completely wrong about the work LeBron is facing.

Everything we've seen so far from the Lakers has indicated that Russ isn't exactly the best fit, and it might take some serious sacrifice from LeBron himself to get things going in the right direction.

Whatever the case, it's still early so the Purple and Gold have plenty of time to turn it around.
