Luka Doncic is getting a lot of recognition around the league. After getting drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in 2018, the Slovenian player has enchanted the NBA with his good displays.

Some people say he has GOAT potential, but that's a long shot right now. Still, Luka has made very good things in Texas, leading the Mavs to two playoffs in his first three years in the association. Even though he's yet to get past the first round of the postseason, the player knows it's a matter of time before we see him leading the Mavs in a deep playoff run.

Doncic leads the young group of guards set to rule the NBA in the future. Former guard Jamal Crawford, one of the best sixth men in league history, has big praise for the former Real Madrid guard.

Talking with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson on "What's Burnin,'" the 3x 6MOY award winner compared the Mavericks young star to one of the most electrifying players in recent history: Brandon Roy.

Crawford talked about the young guards that will dominate the league, including Ja Morant, Trae Young, LaMelo Ball and even Steph Curry, who doesn't necessarily fill the 'young' mold (23:50).

“Luka’s got a little bit of B Roy in him with how cool and smooth he plays all the time.”

Jamal was one of the best players in the league in his role. He succeeded coming off the bench, competed and shared touches with a lot of great players, so he knows what he's talking about.

Unfortunately, Brandon Roy never fulfilled his potential. Injuries prevented him from having an incredible career with the Portland Trail Blazers, becoming one of the biggest 'what-ifs' in NBA history.

Hopefully, Luka can stay healthy during his career and show what he can do. He was a big deal in Europe, winning championships in the old continent. Things are harder in the NBA, but this man has a lot to live and play to show he is the real deal. This season can be good for Luka if things don't get crazy. He's one of the favorites to win the MVP trophy and we can't wait to see how the rest of the season plays out for him and Dallas.
