Sometimes, athletes have lookalikes that are common people. It makes sense that with nearly 8 billion people on the planet, some people will have similar features to one another.

However, it's rare that you hear of two NBA players from past and present who look like each other unless they are related. However, apparently, there are times where it does happen.

Christian Wood has recently posted a Tweet that stated he keeps hearing that he looks "like Scottie Pippen". The Tweet caused a lot of debate among fans, with a lot of people discussing various features that make them look similar.

There are certainly some physical similarities between the two according to the fans, so perhaps Christian Wood was on to something. Funnily enough, Scottie Pippen played one year for the Houston Rockets after his tenure with the Chicago Bulls. Scottie Pippen creating a superteam with Charles Barkley and Hakeem Olajuwon did not lead to a championship, though they are considered one of the greatest superteams in history.

The similarities between Christian Wood and Scottie Pippen probably end with their looks, and there's no doubt that on the basketball court, Christian Wood has a long way to go before he is being compared to Scottie Pippen. With that being said, Christian Wood is a good player, and he is currently averaging 20.1 PPG and 12.1 RPG in the 2021-22 season while shooting 39.0% from beyond the arc. There's no doubt that this has been a great start for Wood as a whole, and he is a premier stretch big.

While most people would say that Christian Wood won't ever reach Scottie Pippen's level, nothing is impossible. It's definitely a tough road to get there though. Christian Wood has improved pretty much every single year of his career, and perhaps we'll see even further improvement from the Rockets big man.
