The Oklahoma City Thunder have a lot going for them: an electric fan base, a respectable front office, and a history that includes plenty of great players.

Unfortunately, jersey designs do not seem to be among their strong suits, as NBA big man Robin Lopez pointed out in some unapologetic posts on Twitter.

It's been over a decade and despite all the great bball players they've had Oklahoma City has absolutely zero good uniforms in their history. Creating a nice city mashup sounds like an impossible challenge.

Posting Russ in OKC jerseys is cheating Russ is a fashiоnista he's going to make whatever he's wearing look good that's who he is.

The Thunder probably aren't winning any beauty pageants, but plenty of fans appreciate their look, and they made sure to Lopez know about it.

Currently, the Thunder are working through a long and bitter rebuild, so their jersey designs are probably the last thing they're worried about right now.

There are also rumors that the franchise, which was previously based in Seattle, could return to its roots. While nothing is concrete on that front, calls for the SuperSonics to return have been growing louder in recent years.

“I would love for Seattle to have a team," said Ray Allen via Landon Buford. "And I would love to be part of the ownership. When I left Seattle in 07, so many were disenchanted with the ownership, and the one thing that I told them was, this is something people all over the world in any city with a sports team. People were upset with the then owners, and I told them, listen,

'I wore Seattle on my chest, but I only wore it for a brief time. When I leave, this is your city. You always have to fight for your city, for your team, and the pride of what it is. You cannot lose a sports team in your city because it is a community resource. As an adult you have your frustrations and things that piss you off the dynamics, the politics, but we do things for the kids.”'

Whatever the future holds in store for the Thunder, they have a long way to go before they're in a position to compete for a Championship.

In the meantime, it wouldn't hurt to do a little rebranding...
