Huawei P50 Pro with Snapdragon 888 4G launched, sale starts today

On December 15, Huawei has launched a new version of the P50 Pro with the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset and it’s powered by the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system. However, initially, the phone was only available with a 5nm Kirin 9000 processor.

Huawei P50 Pro with Snapdragon 888 4G will be on sale starting today (December 16) at 10:00 in China and comes in three colors including White, Black, and Gold. The Huawei P50 Pro Snapdragon 888 version is launched in two memory variants including:

  1. 8GB RAM + 128GB storage = 5988 yuan
  2. 8GB RAM + 256GB storage = 6488 yuan

Aside from the processor, all core specs and the design of the phone remain unchanged.

Huawei P50 Pro:

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G processor comes with an octa-core architecture consisting of (Octa-core, 1 x Cortex-X1 at 2.84 GHz + 3 x Cortex-A78 at 2.42 GHz + 4 x Cortex-A55 x 1.8 GHz). Aside from the processor, it also has Adreno 660 GPU.

Huawei P50 Pro features a 6.6-inch OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 1440 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and 300 Hz touch sampling rate for a highly interactive touch screen as well as touch sensitivity with a high-quality resolution of 2700 x 1228 pixels and 450 PPI.

Huawei P50 Pro Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G version comes with a 50MP true chroma camera, a 40MP MONO true chroma camera, 13MP ultra wide-angle camera, and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera. The front camera system of the phone consist of a 13 MP selfie camera.

The phone supports a battery capacity of 4360 mAh and recharges with a 66W wired SuperCharge and a 50W wireless supercharge that consumers will need to purchase separately.

Global Launch:

Last week, Huawei confirmed that P50 Pro will launch in the global market. However, an exact launch date is still awaited while the consumers are eagerly waiting for the phone to unveil in their corresponding markets.
