The Charlotte Hornets are currently 13-11, and they are in the hunt for the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. They are one of the most exciting teams in the league, and that has largely been due to the excellence of second-year point guard, LaMelo Ball.

When one watches LaMelo Ball play, one can see that he plays an unselfish brand of basketball. While he is a capable enough scorer, LaMelo Ball is definitely a willing passer. He is able to pass in a variety of ways, and you often see his insane vision show up in highlight reels.

Former Hornets point guard Muggsy Bogues has recently commented on LaMelo Ball's play and claimed that the young star has "humbleness" and is willing to "uplift his teammates".

The guys love playing with him. It's a treat to see a guy come in with that type of humbleness and willingness to uplift his teammates. I think him playing overseas allowed him to grow to play against those type of professional players and gave him a head start. Coming in to really just blend in with these guys.

Especially from last year to this year... They would have been in the playoffs last if everybody would have stayed healthy... you got 4 guys pretty much averaging 20 points... I think it's really been a sight to see for the city of Charlotte for sure.

There is no doubt that LaMelo Ball has made the Hornets a very good offensive team, and generally, that appeals to fans. Ball is currently averaging 20.0 PPG, 7.7 RPG, and 8.3 APG this season, and he has shown no signs of slowing down. It is quite possible that LaMelo Ball will be a first-time All-Star this season if he keeps up his play.

The Charlotte Hornets are on a 3-game losing streak currently, but they will have a chance to snap that against the Atlanta Hawks in their next game. This game will feature a great matchup between LaMelo Ball and Trae Young, and hopefully, Ball rises up to the challenge.
