January 2022 security update rolling out for Redmi Note 9 Pro

Xiaomi has kicked off January 2022 Android security update for Redmi Note 9 Pro users in India running on MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version. Last November, the company upgraded Redmi Note 9 Pro smartphone over the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced to level up the performance.

According to information, January 2022 update for Redmi Note 9 Pro arrived with Android 11 based MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version V12.5.4.0.RJWINXM. To acquire the latest MIUI build version, the corresponding device users need to download the update package size of 2.7GB.

As always, the security patch brings fixes for several exploits and issues found in the latest MIUI software system. It is mandatory to install the latest security improvement because the threat can harm the device’s system as well as your personal data.

Eligible for MIUI 13:

Information reveals that Redmi Note 9 Pro is eligible for Android 12 based MIUI 13 custom user interface. MIUI 13 software version focuses on fastness and stability compared to previous MIUI versions as well as brings strong privacy tools.

Update Note:

Before proceeding with the update, make sure that the device must be charged at least 30% or above and have an adequate amount of maintaining sufficient free space, and use stable data/WiFi connection for buffer-free download.

Update Instructions:

Open phone’s settings, go to about phone, tap on system updates. Wait for seconds, while the phone is connecting to the server and searching for the latest update. Afterward, press the download button and install it.
