Huawei Mate 30 Pro May 2022 EMUI update rolling out in Europe

Huawei is sending a new software update accompanying the May 2022 security patch for Mate 30 Pro devices in Europe. The update mainly focuses to patch the issues of the security system. Thus, making it more reliable for the consumers.

In comparison to previous rollouts, this update reached the device quite early. While exploring the changelog, we didn’t find any new addition except the upgraded patch. Yet, the new update assure to fix the minor security bugs and clears the pathway to efficient functioning.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro users in Europe are receiving the May 2022 update with a specified build version which is 12.0.0.246(c432E4R8P4). It further carries an update package that weighs around 300MB.

May 2022 EMUI security patch

The latest May 2022 security patch arrives on the EMUI 12 platform. Consequently, the patch brings fixes to 14 high and 16 medium levels of CVE  found in the system. Hence, users must install the upgraded patch to protect the device from hazardous issues.

How to Update?

The update is rolling out in patches for the users. Therefore, it might take a few days to reach all the eligible units. However, if the users do not want to wait for the OTA distribution, they can move ahead by checking for the update manually.

Here is the cookbook to download the new patch on your device:

  • Open the Settings app on your phone
  • Scroll down and tap on the System & Updates
  • Select the Software Updates
  • Click on Check For Updates option
  • Let the device fetch suitable firmware.
  • Hit the Download and Install button

You can also use the My Huawei App to gain the update. Just navigate to the Support Tab, click on the Update > Check for updates > Download & Install.
