What’s the next major software update for global Huawei phones?
Huawei is preparing to release HarmonyOS 3.0 for the Chinese smartphone as the next software change but what’s the next major software update for the global Huawei smartphone users as the EMUI 12 rollout is about to conclude? Let’s try to find out the potential of this happening.
Huawei is currently expanding EMUI 12 software for the global market that comes with brand new features. However, some of the flagship devices such as the Huawei P40 and Mate 40 Pro as well as the Mate 30 Pro have been one of the first devices to upgrade over EMUI 12 and the corresponding consumers are now asking for the next big move for their devices.
Since Huawei has already started preparing for the next HarmonyOS for the Chinese models, is there any room to show the same interest in the deployment of the global Huawei phones? Practically Yes, Huawei has made new changes to the firmware for the global market and brought them with the release of EMUI 12.
The EMUI 12 user interface is one of the biggest changes that we can see so far and if compare it with the previous generation, it’s a massive change in terms of look and how it feels in hands. The reason for this change is directly derived from the HarmonyOS operating system.
Not only does it come with new features but Huawei has covered old devices such as Mate 10 and P20 series with EMUI 12 software. These devices have skipped EMUI 11 but the company along with many other budget models – Y9 Prime 2019 and P30 Lite are also ready to enjoy the latest changes made to the EMUI software via the OTA method.
Still, the consumer always looks for the next, and we’re also wondering what Huawei has in its bag as a major software update for global smartphone users. Will it be EMUI 13 based on Android 13, EMUI 13 based on HarmonyOS 3.0 or will it be HarmonyOS 3.0?
The question remains a mystery but we’ll wait for an answer.
