Contrary to what many rumors suggested, Russell Westbrook is still part of the Los Angeles Lakers roster. He was linked with a move to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Kyrie Irving, then to the Indiana Pacers and Utah Jazz in exchange for veterans that could help LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Well, so far, nothing has happened, and Russ is staying put at Crypto.com Arena, ready to bounce back and prove doubters wrong. Darvin Ham appears to be excited to coach Russ and hasn't stopped praising him since he made it to Los Angeles a couple of months ago.
The Lakers are reportedly 'comfortable' heading into training camp with Russ on the roster, and the player seems to be happy to stay in Los Angeles, set to take this team to the next level after missing the play-in tournament last season.

Even when the Patrick Beverley trade was announced, Russ took to social media to show he wasn't bothered by any of that noise. Beverley landing in LA could mean he's out of the team, but that doesn't affect the former NBA MVP. He sang in his car, showing a big smile and acting as if nothing had happened to him.
Well, that wasn't the last time we saw Russ doing this. More recently, he shared a reel on a boat, living his best life while singing. Westbrook shared a video of himself singing, captioning it with a short but clear message.

"Too Blessed to Be Stressed," he wrote.
Even though he's been on the receiving end of criticism, Westbrook remains in good spirits. The trade rumors won't stop coming, but he's untouchable, apparently. Now, he could go to Indiana or Utah, but these are just rumors and nothing serious.
The Lakers want to improve their squad for next season, and perhaps trading Russ away is their best option. Otherwise, they'll have to trust Darvin Ham and see what he can do for the team and Westbrook. Ime Udoka made the Celtics a Finals team last season without getting rid of a lot of players, so Ham could do the same and give Russ a second chance on the Lakers and the league.
