Dirk Nowitzki is, without any hesitation, the greatest Dallas Maverick of all time. The German player led this team to its only NBA championship in 2011, beating incredible rivals in the process, cementing his legacy as one of the best players in his position and probably the greatest European player in league history.

He gave his everything to Dallas, and the Mavericks never hesitated to show him their love. This year's Christmas is a big date for Dirk and his former team, as they're celebrating the player's career with a huge honor.

Nowitzki now has his statue outside the team arena. After spending his entire career with the Mavs, there's nothing bigger than him to the team fans. Mark Cuban paid the ultimate respect to the legendary power forward with this honor, unveiling the statue.

Naturally, the Mavericks would use Dirk's favorite and most lethal move to create this statue. They picked the one-legged fadeaway to make this piece, which looks incredibly good.

Although he was almost lured away from Dallas several times, Dirk always remained loyal to his team. He was even recruited by Kobe Bryant, but nothing could change his mind about the Mavs.

In 1522 games, the German big man posted 20.7 points per game, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists. He shot 47.1% from the field, 38% from 3-point, and 87.9% from the free-throw line. He was a 1x NBA champion, 1x Finals MVP, 1x NBA MVP, 12x All-NBA, and 14x All-Star, among other honors.

He went down as the greatest Dallas Mavericks of all time, especially after that magical 2011 run. Some say Luka Doncic will surpass him eventually, but right now, nobody sits above Dirk. The Mavericks are trying to relive old glories, and they see Doncic as their new Dirk. As for now, the German player is the best player they've ever seen, and this statue proves how incredible he was for them.
