Draymond Green believed that players in the NBA were terrified of squaring off against LeBron James on the court, in fact, he said he "personally" knew players who were afraid of the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

Speaking on his podcast The Draymond Green Show, the Warriors forward shared his thoughts on Mario Chalmers' claim of no player being afraid of James.

"I personally know people that were scared of LeBron James..." he said to Tristan Thompson. "I know a bunch of people who were and are in fact terrified of LeBron James. I’ve seen it. At times I’ve had teammates that were terrified of LeBron James."

Green and Thompson both felt it was unwarranted of Chalmers to go off against James, who he played alongside for the Miami Heat.

"Nobody fears Bron [James]," Chalmers told Playmaker. "Nobody’s like, ‘Damn, I gotta go play against Bron tonight.’ Nobody said that. I don’t know why? Because I seen people be scared when they actually line up to him. But they’re not scared thinking about that matchup. You hear anybody from that era talk about going against Jordan, there’s a fear."

Needless to say, these remarks didn't sit well with either of the veterans. It's unclear who Green is talking about when he said his own mates were afraid of James, but it doesn't mean he's wrong, given the force James has been.

Tristan Thompson Calls Out Mario Chalmers On The Draymond Green Show

It wasn't just Green who shared his thoughts about how James was one of the more feared players in the league. Thompson, who won a championship with the Lakers star, didn't take too kindly to Chalmers' comments.

"Guys be on some sucker s**t. I don't like that kind of stuff," Thompson told Draymond Green on The Draymond Green Podcast. "Guys are retired and not playing basketball, now you want to talk s**t about a guy that you won a championship with?"

The 32-year-old was more miffed that Chalmers did that to a teammate who he played with and found it thoroughly disrespectful. And he let the former Heat guard know his feelings.

What can be assured is that Green and Thompson are ultimate team players and won't take any form of lashing that is directed toward their mates. And with Green having mutual respect towards James, it's understandable why he wasn't happy with Chalmers.
