NBA players lead lives that normal humans can hardly relate to. Those that manage to secure long careers in the league make millions of dollars playing a sport, which is just a dream for a majority of the population.

Josh Hart is one of the players that truly understands this, and he showed it after a disappointing New York Knicks loss against the Charlotte Hornets. Asked about fatigue being a factor, Hart gave an excellent response.

"It's a reality, but the reality also is our job, it's to play basketball," Hart told reporters after the game. "You got people waking up at 6 am doing 12-hour shifts. Those guys are tired. For us, we're playing a game and we're fortunate enough to play a game like this. So we have to keep that in perspective. We gotta go out and compete."

It's easy for players that enjoy a lot of wealth and fame to get carried away with it and forget about the struggles of the common man. But to see Josh Hart acknowledge the privilege of playing basketball is quite heartwarming, especially as someone that plays at the highest level. Life is tough on the players, it takes immense discipline to be an athlete at the highest level, but he is not wrong in saying that players should always keep this perspective in their minds.

Why Did The New York Knicks Lose Against The Charlotte Hornets?

The Knicks were coming off a massive win against the Boston Celtics but couldn't stop themselves from succumbing to the lowly Hornets. They had won 9 games in a row coming into this, and the loss stung for the team. They stuck manfully with the Hornets through the first quarter and even opened up a 16-point lead going into halftime.

But the Hornets roared back and outscored them 62-39 in the second half to claim the victory for themselves. Josh Hart had 10 points off the bench, but Julius Randle struggled immensely during his 35 minutes, and the team was without Jalen Brunson.

The team is now 39-28 and a full 2 games behind the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 4th seed spot. The team needs to roll up its sleeves, make no excuses, and get back to winning ways. Their next game is against a very good Sacramento Kings team, and it promises to be a great spectacle if the team can keep its act together.
