Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson is one of the more notable ex-NBA players, as he is an all-time legend who also happens to be a good businessman. He has had a number of notable investments in recent memory, and it seems as though he is ready to try and pursue another business venture.

According to a recent report from Scott Soshnick and Eben Novy-Williams of Sportico, Magic Johnson is part of a group that has joined the bidding for the Washington Commanders. Johnson will be providing "money and experience" to the group, and having him onboard is definitely a good thing. The group is notably led by Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Josh Harris. According to the report, Johnson and Harris were also involved in making a bid for the Denver Broncos last season.

It will be interesting to see if Magic Johnson's bid for the Washington Commanders will succeed. It makes sense that Johnson would want to be a co-owner of an NFL team, as American football is extremely popular in the United States. Hopefully, we see the negotiations go smoothly for Johnson, and we'll have to wait for further developments on this situation.

Kevin Durant Is Interested In Being Part Of The Washington Commanders' Ownership Group

Other NBA players are seemingly also interested in bidding for the Washington Commanders. Previously, Kevin Durant revealed that he would love to be a "part of the Commanders". It will be interesting to see if he officially ends up joining a group that is in the race.

"In a perfect world, I would be a part of it," Durant said. "I would love to do it. I would love to give a little bit of my money to be a part of the Commanders, but we'll see. Hopefully, it's somebody nice. I heard [Amazon CEO Jeff] Bezos and Jay-Z, but you never know."

"I mean, how long has he had it now -- 20-something years? He's probably the only owner I've known since I've been alive for the Redskins/Commanders. So it's definitely shocking to see him put them up because it's his baby. NFL teams are precious, they're important. But that's going to be a team that everybody -- everybody wants to be a part of the league. It's one of the most lucrative teams in sports, so I'm sure there's going to be a lot of bidders."

It is unsurprising that Kevin Durant also wants to be a part of an NFL team ownership group. Sports teams are a generally profitable investment, and Kevin Durant is notably a part of the ownership group for the Philadelphia Union in the MLS. Kevin Durant is one of the best investors in the world, and we'll see whether he joins one of the ownership groups in the future.
