As the Lakers endure their toughest stretch of this season, they'll have to survive without their best player for at least a few weeks if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.

While James isn't close to a return for the Purple and Gold, you can bet he's still going to show up to the games and root his teammates on.

Just moments before L.A.'s showdown against the Warriors on Sunday, James rolled in on a scooter as he navigated the Crypto.com arena.

Experienced basketball fans will already know that the scooter is not a novelty item. After suffering a tendon injury last week, he's going to need that scooter to move around and keep pressure off his foot as it heals.

The timetable right now is estimated to be roughly three weeks, but he could miss even more time depending on how the season looks when he's reevaluated.

LeBron James Struggling To Stay Healthy For Lakers

James has always been notorious for being an iron man. Year after year, availability was never a question for James, who never got hurt and always healed quickly when he did.

But Father Time is undefeated in the sports world, and LeBron is finding out first-hand what kind of challenges come with being a 38-year-old star who averages 36 minutes a night.

This season, the lakers want to be extra cautious with James, which is why they are preparing for him to miss the remainder of the team's games.

"The Lakers right now, they're preparing for the possibility that they'll have to make their postseason run without LeBron James for the rest of the regular season," said Wojnarowski.

Obviously, only time will tell us what the future has in store for LeBron and his Lakers, but nobody should be counting them out at full strength.

No matter how bad things look now, this L.A. team is good enough and deep enough to go toe-to-toe with the best in the West when their two stars are on the court.

For what it's worth, LeBron seems to be in awfully good spirits for someone who might not play another game this season...
