Load management, a schedule with fewer long breaks, and a changing culture have made it less of a spectacle than it already was. Many have ideas as to how the league can fix it, but Nick Wright's wild one might just work.

"Someone give me an actual answer, why of all sports, the NBA has not gone to drafting your playoff opponent," Nick Wright said. "You want the regular season to matter? If you are one seed, if you are Denver if you have earned it... Once the field is set, you pick who you play. That would be a massive reward. And if you're the 2-seed, you get to pick next.
