Charles Barkley Reveals He's Lost 62 Pounds Thanks To Mounjaro: "I'm Taking My Shot Once A Week"

One of the most recurrent topics about Charles Barkley during and after his NBA career was his weight. The former NBA MVP had to hear a lot of comments about his fitness, and now that his time in the league is over, they haven't stopped.

Barkley admitted that Moses Malone was the first one who helped him get in shape during his early NBA years. Still, he struggled with this during the rest of his career, especially after he hung the boots. Chuck has revealed that he's lost 62 pounds thanks to some changes in his lifestyle and Mounjaro.

"I'm working out, I'm taking my shot once a week," he told on the Pat McAfee Show while discussing Mounjaro.

"I started at 352 [lbs.], he said. "And I'm down to 290. I'm starting to feel like a human being, not a fat a** anymore."

He's not yet at his weight goal, but Barkley is really close to that.

"My doctor told me, she says, there's a lot of fat young people. Ain't a lot of fat old people, they're all dead."

This Mounjaro shot appears to be miraculous, and even though he doesn't know what it does to his organism, he's taking it every week after seeing the results he's getting.

"Mounjaro is the brand name for tirzepatide and is similar to drugs Ozempic and Wegovy — brand names for semaglutide, which works in the brain to impact satiety," Stephanie Emma Pfeffer of People writes.

It's great to see that after so many years of getting jokes about his weight, Barkley got to work and has gotten in better shape. He's 20 pounds away from his goal, but Chuck admits he's feeling better and will continue pushing to get in the best shape.

Charles Barkley Is Following Shaquille O'Neal's Example Of Losing Weight

It's great to see that the two key figures of Inside the NBA are taking care of their health. Shaquille O'Neal started before Barkley and his changes are nothing short of incredible.

He started working out in 2021, trying to see a six-pack. In 2022, he raised the bar, claiming he wanted to become a sex symbol

It's clear that O'Neal and Barkley are taking their health seriously and it's great to see how much progress they've made. Their next jokes won't be about rings or how fat they are but how much they can lift at the gym.
