LeBron James Shows Respect To Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, And Steve Kerr After Lakers Beat Warriors

LeBron James has long enjoyed a rivalry with the Golden State Warriors. For large parts of his career, they have been his main rivals, with the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green besting him in three NBA Finals.

However, despite their long history, the mutual respect between LeBron James and the Warriors runs deep. And the King took time after the Lakers won Game 6 to knock Golden State out of the playoffs to pay his respects to Curry, Green, and Kerr among others.

With the final possession of the game being dribbled out by the Warriors, LeBron James walked over to their bench. Experiencing their first defeat outside the NBA Finals since 2014, the Warriors and stars were shellshocked. The King made sure to show his respect for all of them though, sharing brief moments with Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins, and Klay Thompson.

He spent a long time talking to Draymond, which will likely be noticed by those already questioning Green's future. But LeBron spent time talking to almost every player he thanked after the game. He knows what it is like to be on the other end, and he showed his class by being gracious in victory against rivals that have denied him so many times in the past.

LeBron James And Stephen Curry Have Always Respected Each Other Immensely

For two players both vying to be the face of their generation, one would expect LeBron James and Steph Curry to constantly be going at each other. But neither is the type to stoke conflict, they have a long history of admiring and respecting one another. An old video resurfaced earlier during the series, in which LeBron James was seen predicting the success that Curry has enjoyed in the NBA

Draymond Green shared earlier during the series that Curry was having a hard time figuring out how LeBron James was playing, which he also was very curious to try and figure out. The mutual respect runs deep with them, and it's no surprise that there weren't any particularly nasty moments during the series. Watching LeBron James and Stephen Curry go up against one another is always incredible, and hopefully, this won't be the last playoff series between the two.
